Another cold but good day.
Passenger side of the car is almost done and the bonnet/front is taken care of as well.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to get the drivers side finished off and move round to the boot, rear bumper/lights and back wheels.
So far so good - I'm really enjoying it and learning a lot. It's been freezing all day working outside but me mother's been bringing regular cups of tea and coffee which has been nice! Working up there certainly has its perks.
Door trims and seals all removed apart from the ones holding in the glass - I'm going to let the bodyshop take car of that as spare beat glass is not a common thing! I've left the door locks/catches in for the time being as well.
I've removed the front wing panels and cleared out some muck that was in there. So far so good with no signs of rust at all!
I'm switching back to the standard alloys for the respray.
Passenger side air-vent and various bits of trim removed - looking down inside the wing/sill seems dry as a bone as well.
Lights, bumper, scuttle trim, wheel arch covers (damn plastic screw rivet things!) and all bonnet trim/seals removed. I removed the plastic scuttle trim as this will be sprayed black - annoyingly some of the small plastic clips snapped when this came out so I'll have to remember to order some asap.
Front shot at the end of the day:
