The first stage was to be a full engine rebuild from scratch. At the same time we could also work on the interior and any other mechanical issues that were found.
The tiny Beat engine is put under a lot of strain as it revs up to 8500 rpm so as they get older they do require a bit of love and attention. Whilst there was nothing really wrong with Beat-chans engine, it was to be done more as a precautionary measure for the future as parts are hard to find and take a long time to order in the UK.
He checked into Daves garage for well-loved classic cars to begin the long-term rebuild during the winter months. Heres some pics:

Sadly progress has been slow due to Daves hectic schedule - Beat-Chan is still sat in the corner of the workshop! The end is in sight tho and parts have finally been ordered from Honda for him - we hope to have him back on the road by the end of the summer! hoorah!
