One of my plans with B.C's interior has always been to re-trim parts of it with black Alcantara. I bought some recently with the idea of doing it myself... until I was persuaded by the more sensible half of TADO that with my lack of any experience in this department, i could very easily ruin £50's worth of Alcantara!
So, after a bit of research we dropped the top door trims off with the very nice folk at Claytons here in Shef. The results are really really nice and worked out at £20 per door which seems very reasonable considering the terrible mess i would have probably made!
Claytons Workshop:
Door trim:
Here's one finished off door, which looks great! I cleaned all the grey trim up before re-assembly and i think it should make a huge difference once the dash has been done in the same fabric as well.
As I mentioned in the previous post though.. there is a slight problem with the central locking! Beat-chan went into Source to have the alarm/locking work done whilst the door cards were still at Claytons, and unfortunately the motors for the central locking are hitting the door trim so it cant be properly re-mounted. So the little sod has to go back in to Source on Tuesday to have everything re-jiggled :P
