links n stuff

Not much progress to report here beat-wise at the moment, but we have just found out that our trip to japan in may will co-incide with the Meet The Beat event at the Honda Twin Ring track in Motegi which i'm pretty excited about. We're both really looking forward to the trip now and can't wait to catch up with a lot of old friends...
Aside from that there's not much to post, so i thought i'd add in a load of new links and some random stuff i enjoy on the web. There's several sites i check pretty much everyday and these are a few of em:

www.GrandJDM.com
There's ALWAYS something interesting on Kev's RSS feed. The fella has just imported a really beautiful Hakosuka and is currently in the process of re-commissioning it and making it road-worthy. His blog is a fascinating read, both for the restoration and general news/facts and event coverage.

www.japanesenostalgiccar.com
Another one of my daily clicks - this is a great site for JDM classics with a very interesting RSS feed. There's also a lot of articles on owners cars, a very active forum, and the guys are also putting together a printed magazine which will be released in april.

www.auto-otaku.com
Auto-Otaku is a blog written by a guy who has just moved out to Japan. The blog covers all kinds of news and events, but usually has a strong emphasis on nostalgic and classic racing. Which is great. Top photography too.

These 3 sites can be responsible for hours of lost working time as you follow link after link so be warned! :D
Finally, i thought i'd post up this quite old video from the sss600sss youtube. With the car off the road at the moment, this is the closest i get to hearing the wonderful howl of the beat-engine:
